Texas government rescued eighty four migrants from the returned of a tractor trailer in a neighborhood close to the southern border on Thursday.

The asylum-seekers had been discovered after a resident of Weslaco noticed a semi-truck offloading humans at a house inside the small city, Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra said.

The town is located about eight miles north of the US-Mexico border.

Guerra stated authorities are investigating the capacity human smuggling case. Additional details which includes the situations of the migrants and any arrests were not at once available.

The truck sporting the migrants reportedly appeared on a TikTok video an afternoon earlier that sought someone who could force the truck from McAllen to Houston for $70,000, Fox News stated.

The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed to the hole that the video was associated with the eighty four migrants observed in Hidalgo County.
