At 4:32 a.m. on October 28th, the observation cameras on Newburgh Drive caught Janiya Carr getting into a Kia enrolled to Tevis Walker. After an hour, at 5:21 a.m., another camera showed the Kia driving onto the grass, switching out its lights where Carr’s body was subsequently found.

“The lights of (the) vehicle go off,” the court records read. “Development should be visible, yet the view isn’t clear.”

After four minutes, at 5:25 a.m., Walker purportedly stopped the Kia in the apartment building’s parking area, found only two or three hundred feet from where Carr’s body was found.
